
For their annual User Summit Conference this May, Marketo approached us to jointly present on the topic of visual marketing. The session was co-led by Column Five cofounder, Jason Lankow and Maria Pergolino (@InboundMarketer), Marketo’s Sr. Director of Marketing.
Maria’s passion for inbound marketing (her Twitter handle is @InboundMarketer) aligns perfectly with the objectives behind creating visual content, which is to engage a targeted audience. And, the goal for this presentation was for the information to be completely visualized so as to underscore a main theme of the User Summit session: “text is dead, visual is the future.”
The presentation walks the B2B marketer through the steps necessary to produce and promote great visual content, from content purpose and distribution channels to idea creation and proper usage. It also goes into the theory, history, and practice behind visual content.
